Personal Use License

In short

Your purchase includes a non-exclusive, perpetual license for personal, non-commercial use. Advertising, paid or commercial use, resale and sublicensing need separate permission. Copyright stays with Jones Photo. How long this license lasts is separate from how long a download link works. The full license below is what applies.

The license

Jones Photo, operated by Owen Jones (the “Content Provider”), grants the buyer a non-exclusive, perpetual personal-use license to download and copy the photographs or videos identified in the buyer’s purchase (the “Media”), on the terms below. It covers the Media you buy through this website. How purchases, downloads and refunds work is explained in the Terms and Conditions.

1. Personal use

This license permits non-commercial personal use of the Media, including display on your personal website or computer, and making photographic prints or video copies for your personal use.

You may not use the Media in any activity in which you charge money, collect fees, or receive any form of remuneration. You may not use the Media in advertising or commercial promotion. You may not resell, relicense or sublicense the Media.

For business, advertising, paid or other commercial use, contact owen@jonesphoto.me to discuss a separate written license before using the Media.

2. Ownership

Copyright, title and ownership of the Media remain with the Content Provider. This license grants permission for the uses described above. It does not transfer copyright or ownership. All rights not expressly granted remain reserved.

This license does not transfer the rights of people depicted in the Media, or the rights of other owners in names, logos, trademarks or property depicted in it. Get any additional permission your intended use requires.

3. Duration and download availability

Your permission to use a properly obtained copy of the Media for the licensed personal purposes does not expire. A perpetual license does not mean that a gallery, a download link or an online backup will stay available forever. The download availability and any download allowance shown with your order are separate. Keep a backup of your downloaded files.

4. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Media are provided “as is,” without express or implied warranties. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Content Provider is not liable for third-party claims or for incidental, consequential or other damages arising from this license or your use of the Media.

Nothing in this license excludes or limits any warranty, liability, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This clause does not remove the delivery help or the refund review described in the Terms and Conditions.
